About the Product

A twin pack of Opti-Free Puremoist, a multi-purpose contact lens disinfecting solution, supplied as two 10 fl oz (300 mL) bottles, 20 fl oz in total, with a lens case. It is a sterile, buffered aqueous solution preserved with POLYQUAD (polyquaternium-1) 0.001% and ALDOX (myristamidopropyl dimethylamine) 0.0006%, and it contains HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix as one of its two wetting agents.

Opti-Free Puremoist is a multi-purpose solution, the single bottle category that rinses, cleans, disinfects and stores soft contact lenses in one product rather than in separate steps. The daily routine is a 20 second rub of each lens, a 10 second rinse of each side under a steady stream, then storage in a closed lens case filled with fresh solution overnight or for at least 6 hours. HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix attaches to the lens surface and forms a cushion of hydration across it. Lenses may be left in the unopened lens case containing the solution for up to 30 days.

Materials

• POLYQUAD (polyquaternium-1) 0.001% One of the two preservatives in the solution.
• ALDOX (myristamidopropyl dimethylamine) 0.0006% The second preservative in the solution.
• HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix (EOBO-41, polyoxyethylene-polyoxybutylene) One of the two wetting agents in the formula, a block copolymer that attaches to the lens surface.
• TETRONIC 1304 (poloxamine) The second wetting agent in the formula.
• Sorbitol, boric acid, aminomethylpropanol, disodium EDTA, sodium citrate and sodium chloride The buffer, chelating and tonicity components of the formula.

Sterile, buffered, aqueous solution containing sodium citrate, sodium chloride, boric acid, sorbitol, aminomethylpropanol, disodium EDTA, two wetting agents (TETRONIC 1304 and HydraGlyde Moisture Matrix [EOBO-41 polyoxyethylene-polyoxybutylene]) with POLYQUAD (polyquaternium-1) 0.001% and ALDOX (myristamidopropyl dimethylamine) 0.0006% preservatives.

Specifications

How to Use

1. Thoroughly wet each side of the lens with OPTI-FREE PUREMOIST Solution.
2. Rub the lens for 20 seconds.
3. Rinse each side of the lens for 10 seconds with a steady stream of OPTI-FREE PUREMOIST Solution.
4. Fill your ALCON Lens Case with fresh OPTI-FREE PUREMOIST Solution.
5. Store lenses in the closed lens case overnight or at least 6 hours.

Care and Cleaning

Empty and rinse the lens case with OPTI-FREE PureMoist Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution and air dry it after use. Lenses may be left in the closed, unopened lens case for a maximum of 30 days; after that they must be cleaned and disinfected with fresh solution for 6 hours before wear.

Warnings

• Always follow the product directions for use. Failure to follow product directions may lead to vision loss.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Re-use of solution or use of water with lenses may lead to contamination resulting in eye injury and potential loss of vision.
• Do not reuse or top off old solution left in your lens case since solution reuse reduces effective lens disinfection and could lead to severe infection, vision loss or blindness.
• Always use fresh OPTI-FREE PureMoist Multi-Purpose Disinfecting Solution. Never reuse the solution in the lens storage case.
• Do not use tap water, bottled water or saliva with lenses or lens case.
• Not for use with heat (thermal) disinfection, and not a substitute for saline solutions.
• Improper use of the solution or the lens case could result in corneal infection and/or ulcer and lead to loss of vision.
• This bottle has an imprinted seal around the neck. Do not use if the seal is damaged or missing at the time of purchase. Remove imprinted seal around bottleneck completely before use.

Storage

Store solution at room temperature, 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F). Discard any remaining solution six months after first opening.
