About the Product

One 2.5 fl oz (75 mL) bottle of Menicon Unique pH Multi-Purpose Solution for rigid gas permeable contact lenses, supplied with one lens case. The solution is preserved with polyquaternium-1 at 0.0011% and is chlorhexidine free, thimerosal free and benzalkonium chloride free. It is compatible with lenses that carry a Hydra-PEG coating and is intended for all types of rigid gas permeable lenses, including Boston, Menicon and Paragon CRT brands.

This is the all in one daily care bottle for a gas permeable lens routine: it cleans, conditions and disinfects in one step, replacing a separate cleaner, rinse and soaking solution. Lenses are rubbed, rinsed and then left in the case in fresh solution for at least four hours before wearing. The formula adjusts to the eye's natural tear pH to enhance the wettability of rigid gas permeable contact lenses upon insertion. It may also be used as a diluent for daily protein remover for simultaneous enzymatic cleaning.

Materials

• Polyquaternium-1, 0.0011% The preservative in the solution.
• Edetate disodium A chelating agent.
• Hydroxypropyl guar A wetting polymer in the formula.
• Polyethylene glycol A wetting agent in the formula.

The formula is chlorhexidine free, thimerosal free and benzalkonium chloride free.

How to Use

1. Rub both sides of the lenses with 2 to 4 drops of Menicon Unique pH Multi-Purpose Solution.
2. Thoroughly rinse with Menicon Unique pH Multi-Purpose Solution or another recommended rinsing solution.
3. Place the lenses in the storage case, fill each chamber with fresh solution so the lenses are completely covered, and store for at least four hours before wearing.
4. Rinse the lenses again with Menicon Unique pH Multi-Purpose Solution before inserting them.

Warnings

• DO NOT put this solution in the bowl of your scleral lens. It is for cleaning and disinfection, not for filling.
• Do not use Menicon Unique pH Multi-Purpose Solution with soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses.
• Never reuse solution. Discard it after each use and refill the case with fresh solution.
• Reuse of solution, or use of water with lenses, may lead to contamination resulting in eye injury.
• Avoid contaminating the bottle tip, and replace the cap after each use.

Storage

Keep the solution in its original container with the cap secured after each use. Use within 90 days of opening the bottle.
