Product Information
About the Product
Optase Comfort Dry Eye Spray is a preservative free ophthalmic lubricant supplied as a 17 mL (0.58 fl oz) multidose pump spray, not an eye drop. It is sprayed onto the closed eyelids from 6 to 10 inches (15 to 25 cm) rather than instilled in the eye. The active ingredient is glycerin 1 percent, an eye lubricant, and the inactive ingredients include sea buckthorn seed oil and sodium hyaluronate. The bottle provides up to 300 doses, contains no alcohol, no preservatives and no ingredients of animal origin, and should be used within 6 months from opening.
This is the eyelid spray format of the lubricant category, bought by people who find drops difficult to apply and used several times a day as needed. When sprayed onto closed eyes the product enters the eye by the lid margin. The spray may be used during contact lens wear.
Uses
To relieve dryness of the eye. For use as a lubricant or protectant to prevent further irritation.
