About the Product

Two boxes of Menicon LacriPure, 98 single-use vials per box and 196 vials in total. Each vial holds 5 mL (0.17 oz). LacriPure is a sterile, preservative free 0.9% sodium chloride (normal saline) solution. It contains no preservatives and no buffers.

This is a rinsing and insertion saline for contact lens wearers. It is used to rinse soft, rigid gas permeable and hybrid lenses before insertion, to fill the back surface of scleral lenses before insertion, to rinse lens cases and caps, and to rinse a lens during the day if something gets under it. Each vial is opened, used once and discarded, so a 98 vial box tracks a wearer who fills lenses daily. It is a saline only and is not a lens storage or disinfecting solution.

Materials

Sodium chloride 0.9% The salt that makes the solution normal saline.

The solution is preservative free and buffer free.

How to Use

1. Wash your hands before handling lenses, and twist the vial tab off completely.
2. For soft, rigid gas permeable and hybrid contact lenses, apply several drops of LacriPure to each lens surface to rinse the lens before insertion.
3. For scleral lenses, rinse both sides of the lens and fill the back surface with LacriPure before insertion.
4. Rinse the inner surfaces of contact lens cases and caps with LacriPure.
5. During wear, if needed, remove the lens, rinse both surfaces with LacriPure and re-insert it.

Warnings

DO NOT use LacriPure for the storage of contact lenses. Usage of saline for storage may cause serious and sight-threatening eye infections such as Acanthamoeba, causing corneal ulcers and possibly permanent loss of sight.

Discard single-use vial after each use. Do not reuse.
