PreserVision AREDS 3 Formula is a dietary supplement supplied as mini soft gels in a bottle of 120. The daily dose is two soft gels. That daily dose supplies 500 mg of vitamin C, 180 mg of vitamin E, 25 mg of zinc, 2 mg of copper, 10 mg of lutein and 2 mg of zeaxanthin, together with a complex of eight B vitamins. The formula is free of beta-carotene and contains soy.

This is an eye vitamin and mineral supplement taken daily on an ongoing basis. One soft gel is taken with a meal in the morning and one with a meal in the evening, so a bottle of 120 covers 60 days at the directed dose. It carries the same six nutrients as the PreserVision AREDS 2 Formula except that the zinc level is 25 mg rather than 80 mg, and it adds the B vitamin complex.

Key Ingredients

• Lutein 10 mg and zeaxanthin 2 mg Carotenoids, supplied in this formula from marigold flower and paprika fruit extract in a base of olive fruit oil, linseed oil, thyme extract, sunflower lecithin and mixed tocopherols.
• Vitamin C 500 mg and vitamin E 180 mg Supplied as ascorbic acid and dl-alpha tocopheryl acetate.
• Zinc 25 mg with copper 2 mg Minerals supplied as zinc oxide and cupric oxide, paired in the formula so that copper accompanies the zinc.
• B vitamin complex Eight B vitamins per daily dose: B1 3.6 mg, B2 3.9 mg, B3 32 mg, B5 15 mg, B6 50 mg, B7 90 mcg, B9 1500 mcg DFE and B12 1000 mcg. This complex is what separates the AREDS 3 Formula from the AREDS 2 Formula.

Other Ingredients

Ascorbic acid, gelatin (bovine), dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, medium chain triglycerides, glycerin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, niacinamide, zinc oxide, soy lecithin, calcium pantothenate, dicalcium phosphate, caramel (color), yellow beeswax, marigold flower (Tagetes erecta), and paprika fruit (Capsicum annuum L.) extract (source of lutein and zeaxanthin, in a base of olive fruit oil, linseed oil, thyme extract, sunflower lecithin, and mixed tocopherols), thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, cupric oxide, cyanocobalamin, folic acid, biotin.
