About the Product

The Eye Doctor Single Eye Compress is a reusable microwavable compress sized to cover a single eye, held in place by an adjustable head strap. It is one size fits all and can be worn over either eye. The fabric carries the Sterileyes treatment together with Polygiene Stay-Fresh Technology. The pack contains the compress, two eyelid wipes, a storage bag and the eyelid massage procedure instructions.

This is a warm compress used as part of an eyelid hygiene routine. It is heated in a microwave and rested over the closed eye for 7 to 10 minutes, followed by a short eyelid massage and a wipe. Because it covers one eye rather than both, it can be used on one side while the other eye stays uncovered.

Specifications

How to Use

1. Heat in a microwave for no longer than the time given for your microwave wattage. Be careful when removing from microwave. Do not overheat.
2. Test the temperature on your inner wrist before applying the compress to the closed eye.
3. Fasten the head strap and adjust for your personal comfort.
4. Sit back and relax for 7 to 10 minutes.
5. After the heat has expelled secretions from your eye glands, massage it away from the inner corner of your eyes. Always use the tip of your index or middle finger. Massage 3 to 4 times along each eyelid.
6. Wipe away secretions with a lid wipe or a clean tissue.

Most patients should benefit from applying The Eye Doctor and performing eyelid massage twice a day for two weeks. This can be reduced to once a day and then a couple of times a week as required.

Care and Cleaning

Never wash this compress. Wipe clean only with a damp cloth, do not use detergents.

Inspect The Eye Doctor at regular intervals and discard if found to be worn, damaged or if it has been repeatedly overheated.
