About the Product

A pack of five green DMV Versas. Each one is a double ended tool: the larger end is a resting pad with ribs that hold a scleral lens lightly in place for insertion, and the smaller end is a suction cup for removal. The moulded body contains dry natural rubber and does not contain liquid latex. Made in the United States.

The Versa combines the insertion feature of the DMV Scleral Cup and the removal feature of the DMV Ultra in one tool, so a scleral lens wearer can carry a single item for both halves of the daily routine instead of two. It is for scleral lenses only and is not used with soft or hybrid lenses. Five tools suit the six month replacement schedule and keeping spares in more than one place.

How to Use

To insert a lens:

1. Place a wet scleral lens onto the large end of the Versa, where the lens will lightly adhere.
2. Hold the eyelids open with the other hand and place the scleral contact lens on the eye.
3. Once the lens has adhered to the eye, withdraw the DMV Versa.

To remove a lens:

1. Moisten the suction cup, the smaller end, with saline solution.
2. Guide it to the eye and place it onto the front of the scleral contact lens near the edge.
3. Slowly pull the lens away from the eye.

Care and Cleaning

• Clean the device with 70% isopropyl alcohol after every use and allow it to air dry.
• Store the device in its case once it is dry.
• Plan to replace it every six months.

Warnings

• Do not use with soft or hybrid contact lenses.
• Keep away from hand cream, hair gels, nail polish remover and oxidizing agents.
• Choking hazard. Keep this and all other medical devices away from small children.
• Not recommended for use on diseased or injured eyes.
• Consult an eye care professional in case of irritation, visual impairment or pain.

Storage

• Do not store warmer than 105 C / 220 F.
• Protect from direct sun.
