About the Product

It is a contact lens handling tool for hard and gas permeable contact lenses, used in the daily routine of putting lenses in and taking them out. For removal the moistened cup is aligned in front of the centered lens, touched to the center of it, and the lens is taken directly from the eye, with the tool held vertically. It is most commonly used for removal of scleral lenses and rigid gas permeable lenses, and can also be used for the insertion of those lenses. What separates the Ultra from the DMV Classic is how the lens is carried and how suction is handled. On the Ultra the lens rests on the shallow dimple at the narrow end of the handle for insertion and the tool is held vertically, while the Classic carries the lens on the cup itself and uses a vented, squeeze operated handle to apply and release suction.

How to Use
Insertion
- Place the wet contact lens on the shallow dimple in the narrow end of the handle. The wet lens will adhere in this position.
- Touch the lens to the eye.
Removal
- Moisten the suction cup of the DMV Ultra and guide it to the eye.
- Be sure the contact lens is centered on the eye.
- Align the suction cup in front of the lens and touch it to the center of the lens by using a mirror.
- Take the contact lens directly from the eye.
- After removal, carefully slide the contact lens sideways from the suction cup.
Care and Cleaning
Each time after using the DMV Ultra clean it with 70% isopropyl alcohol and allow to air dry. Store the device in its case after drying. Plan to replace it every six months.
Warnings
- If the device would accidentally become attached to the eye, slide it to the corner of the eye and remove it by turning.
- Please keep this product away from liquids such as hand cream, hair gels, nail polish remover and strong oxidizing agents.
- Choking hazard. Keep this and all other medical devices away from small children.
- This product is not recommended to be used with diseased or injured eyes.
- If you experience an irritated eye, unusual visual impairment or pain, consult your eye care professional.
Storage
Do not store warmer than 105°C/220°F. Protect from direct Sun.
