About the Product

Retaine PM is an over the counter lubricant eye ointment supplied in one 5 g tube. The two active ingredients are mineral oil 20% and white petrolatum 80%, both eye lubricants, and there are no inactive ingredients.

This is an ocular lubricant in ointment form. The ointment is applied as a 1/4 inch strip inside the lower eyelid, which is why the product name refers to nighttime use.

Uses

As a lubricant to prevent further irritation or to relieve dryness of the eye(s).

How to Use

1. Pull down the lower lid of the affected eye(s).
2. Apply a small amount (1/4 inch) of ointment to the inside of the eyelid.

Warnings

• For use in the eyes only.
• When using this product: do not touch tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination; replace cap after use.
• Stop use and ask a doctor if: you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye; the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours.
• Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center immediately.

Storage

• Do not use if cap breakaway seal is broken or missing.
• Store between 15 to 30 C (59 to 86 F).
