About the Product

The OPTASE Moist Heat Mask is a reusable microwavable eye mask made of soft and reinforced cotton and built around Advanced Hydrobead Technology. It is supplied with a protective pouch to keep it clean and dust free when not in use. The head straps contain latex. The same mask can also be chilled in a freezer and used cold.

This is a warm compress. Heated for 25 seconds in an 800 watt microwave, it is strapped over closed eyes and worn for 10 minutes per treatment. Used cold instead, it is frozen in a sealed bag for 30 minutes and worn for 5 to 7 minutes. Test the temperature with your fingers before the mask goes near your eyes, and replace the mask after 6 months of daily use.

Specifications

How to Use

1. Remove the mask from its protective pouch and place it flat in the microwave.
2. Microwave the OPTASE Moist Heat Mask for 25 seconds in an 800W microwave. For a 900W or higher microwave use 15 seconds. Do not heat for longer than 30 seconds.
3. If you are reheating the mask within 30 minutes of the last treatment, reduce the heating time by 10 seconds.
4. Always touch with fingers first to test the temperature before applying to closed eyes. If it is too warm, allow it to cool and test again.
5. Apply the heat mask to closed eyes for 10 minutes per treatment.
6. For cold use instead, place the mask in a sealable plastic bag, place the bag in the freezer for 30 minutes, remove the mask and place it over closed eyes for 5 to 7 minutes of treatment.
7. Return the mask to its protective pouch when not in use.

Care and Cleaning

• Clean immediately if exposed to food, oils, grease or other dirt.
• Wipe with a damp cloth, then let air dry for a minimum of 24 hours before next use.
• If used daily, consider replacing your Moist Heat Mask after 6 months.

Warnings

• Do not overheat.
• Always touch with fingers first to test the temperature before applying to closed eyes.
• Do not use whilst sleeping.
• Do not use on sensitive skin or open wounds.
• Should not be used by those with poor circulation, a reduced ability to feel sensation related to diabetes, or recent eye surgery.
• Vision blurring after treatment should clear within a few minutes.
• The head straps in this product contain latex.

Storage

Store at room temperature in a clean, dry place, in the protective pouch supplied.
