Systane Original Lubricant Eye Drops (30ml)

About the Product

Systane Lubricant Eye Drops is a sterile ocular lubricant supplied in a 30 mL dropper bottle. It has two active ingredients, polyethylene glycol 400 0.4% and propylene glycol 0.3%, both eye lubricants. This is the preserved presentation, with polyquaternium-1 as the preservative, and the formula also contains hydroxypropyl guar along with calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and zinc chlorides.

This is the original Systane formula, and it sits in the over the counter artificial tear category. The 30 mL bottle is the largest size the line is offered in, which suits a drop kept at home or at a desk rather than carried.

Uses

For the temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye

Active Ingredients

• Polyethylene Glycol 400, 0.4% An eye lubricant, and one of the two actives that give the solution its lubricating body.
• Propylene Glycol, 0.3% An eye lubricant, and a humectant that holds water in the formula.

Inactive Ingredients

Boric acid, calcium chloride, hydroxypropyl guar, magnesium chloride, polyquaternium-1 as a preservative, potassium chloride, purified water, sodium chloride, zinc chloride. May contain hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH.

How to Use

1. Put 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed.

Do not use this product with contact lenses.

Do not use

• if this product changes color or becomes cloudy
• if you are sensitive to any ingredient in this product

When using this product

• do not touch tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination
• replace cap after each use

Stop use and ask a doctor if you experience any of the following

• eye pain
• changes in vision
• continued redness or irritation of the eye
• condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours

Keep out of reach of children

If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
