About the Product

Optase Hylo Relief is a sterile, preservative free ophthalmic lubricant solution in a 10 mL multidose bottle that delivers 300 calibrated drops. It is supplied in the HYLO delivery system, an airless multidose pump bottle: pressing the base releases a drop whose size and speed are the same regardless of the pressure applied, a dual valve stops liquid flowing back into the bottle, and a vented cap lets any drop left on the tip evaporate. Because the bottle keeps the solution sterile in use, the formula carries no preservative, and it can be used for 6 months after opening. The active ingredient is glycerin 0.25 percent, and sodium hyaluronate is listed among the inactive ingredients.

This is the lubricant eye drop category, bought for use through the day as often as needed rather than as a course. It can be used with contact lenses, and the bottle delivers one calibrated drop per click.

For use as a lubricant to prevent further irritation. May be used as a protectant against further irritation. To relieve dryness of the eye.

Borax, Boric Acid, Citric Acid anhydrous, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Citrate Dihydrate, Sodium Hyaluronate, water.

How to Use

Put one or two drops in the affected eyes as needed.

1. Wash your hands well before use.
2. To prime the system before first use, remove the over cap, invert the bottle with the tip pointing down and press the base repeatedly until the first drop is released.
3. Hold the inverted bottle with two fingers on the base and your thumb on the shoulder.
4. Tilt your head back and gently pull the lower eyelid down.
5. Press the base to release one calibrated drop into the lower conjunctival sac, without letting the tip touch your eye or skin.
6. Close your eye slowly so the fluid spreads evenly over the eye surface.
7. Repeat for the other eye, then replace the cap.

Leave 10 minutes between this and other ophthalmic drops, and apply any eye ointment last.

Warnings

• For external use only.
• If solution changes color or becomes cloudy, do not use.
• To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using.

Stop use and ask a doctor if:

• You feel eye pain.
• Changes in vision occur.
• Redness or irritation of the eye lasts.
• Condition worsens or lasts more than 72 hours.

Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed get medical help or contact a poison control center right away.

Do not use this product if you are sensitive to any of the ingredients. Do not let the tip touch the eye or skin, and do not share the bottle with anyone else.

Storage

Store below 25 C (77 F), protected from direct sunlight. The shelf life is 2 years, and the bottle should be discarded 6 months after opening or at the expiry date, whichever comes first.
